Need help on text editing utilities

Hi there. I want to 'clean up' the English translation of Megaman X2. What tools are there to modify the in-game text of an SNES rom? I see there are some for DOS, but are there any for Windows XP?

You mean a windows based Hex Editor? like Winhex?

There are a few games for which there are custom text editors, but Megaman X2 doesn't appear to be one of those few. In order to edit the text, you would have to create a table file and load said table and the ROM in an appropriate hex editor, Windhex being the best.

i'm interested in game text editing too. can anyone give me links to some good ones that can work with most game formats? or for more specific consoles like nes, snes,gbc and gba?
